This project aims to develop and establish a research laboratory for linear electron accelerators and high-sensitivity infrared and terahertz lasers, marking the first of its kind in Thailand and Southeast Asia. The focus is on developing experimental stations for frontier research and future industrial applications. Key outputs of the project include the electron accelerator system and the production station for mid-infrared and terahertz free electron lasers, as well as a terahertz time-domain spectroscopy system. This success represents a significant milestone, demonstrating that Thai researchers can independently create innovations and technology in this field for the first time in the country, through the dedicated collaboration of researchers, students, and related cooperating agencies.
